Install FuturaTerm

Grok Bot remote-controls Grok Build on your Mac through FuturaTerm. Install the native multiplexer, then let the Cursor/Grok desktop agent drive projects, tabs, and panes locally.

HOW IT WORKS

  • 01

    Install

Download the latest macOS build, or run the install command. FuturaTerm needs macOS 14 or later.

  • 02

    Open a project

The sidebar lists projects. Each one keeps its own tabs and splits. YAML layouts live in ~/.config/futuraterm/projects/.

  • 03

    Quit without losing work

Quitting detaches your shells. Relaunch restores tabs, scrollback, and running processes. Remote projects keep going on the other machine over SSH.

  • 04

    Remote-control from Grok Bot

Grok Bot, the Cursor/Grok desktop agent, talks to FuturaTerm through the bundled CLI at /Applications/FuturaTerm.app/Contents/Resources/bin/futuraterm. It opens projects, tabs, and panes so Grok Build runs on your Mac.
